• Q: What's the difference between "mirror chrome" and ordinary chrome plating?

  • A: The main difference lies in the final surface finish. Ordinary chrome plating may still have subtle grinding marks. Mirror chrome plating adds a precise polishing step after the required plating thickness is achieved, bringing the chrome layer surface to a near-optical mirror-like smoothness (Ra≤0.2μm). This results in larger and more uniform contact area with the product, offering superior protection and resulting surface finish.

• Q: Are these mirror rollers easily scratched by hard objects? What if they get scratched?

  • A: The hard chrome layer itself is extremely hard and resistant to normal production friction. However, if severely impacted by sharp metal tools or grit, scratches can still occur. Minor scratches have little functional impact but may leave marks on the product surface. Therefore, soft tools must be used during operation and maintenance, and the environment must be kept clean. If deep scratches affecting product quality appear, the roller must be returned to the factory for re-grinding and plating.
